Why Building Infrastructure Still Takes Weeks
A team needs a new environment for a project. The request goes into a queue, an engineer builds it by hand through the console and two weeks later it’s ready, slightly different from the last one. To automate infrastructure provisioning, the build has to live in code instead of in someone’s memory.
Why Now
When Manual Infrastructure Becomes a Bottleneck
A project waits weeks for an environment Developers are ready to start, but the infrastructure isn’t. The project timeline slips before work begins.
An environment drifts and breaks A setting changed by hand months ago causes a failure. Nobody remembers making the change.
Auditors ask how changes are controlled They want evidence of who changed infrastructure and when. The console history doesn’t go back far enough.

Where to Start
How We’d Automate Infrastructure Provisioning
Start with the free review
We look at how infrastructure is built and changed today, and which environments matter most.
What you’ll have: A clear view of manual effort and risk
Codify one environment
We help turn one important environment into reusable code, with your team working alongside.
What you’ll have: One environment built reliably from code
Make it self-service
We help publish approved templates so teams can create environments themselves, within guardrails.
What you’ll have: Infrastructure on demand, safely

Your First Step
Start with a Free Infrastructure Review
We’ll look at how your infrastructure is built and changed today and show where automation would save the most time and risk. You’ll keep a clear starting plan.
- We walk you through the findings on a call.
- Then it’s your decision, with no obligation to go further.
Scope

- Build, change and request processes
You Provide
- Access to cloud consoles or platforms
- Your recent infrastructure requests and timings
- Time with your infrastructure engineers
You Receive
- Manual effort mapped by environment
- Drift and change control risks
- A plan to codify the first environment
Cost and Timing

Try This First
Quick Infrastructure Automation Checks
These checks show how much of your infrastructure depends on manual work and memory.
Time your last environment request
Measure from request to ready. Most of that time is usually waiting, not building.
Try to describe one environment fully
If nobody can list every setting without logging in to check, it isn’t recorded anywhere useful.
Compare two environments that should match
Look at network, security and size settings. Differences show where drift has crept in.
Check how infrastructure changes are tracked
If changes are made in consoles without review, there’s no reliable history.
Look at infrastructure as code tools
Terraform, AWS CloudFormation and Azure Bicep are widely used ways to describe infrastructure in code.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens after the review?
We walk you through what we found on a call. You can act on it with your own team, or ask us to help with the bigger changes. Either way, it’s your decision and there’s no obligation.
What is infrastructure as code?
Describing servers, networks and other infrastructure in files that tools use to build them automatically. Those files are versioned and reviewed like application code, so every environment can be recreated exactly.
Do our engineers need to be developers?
No, but they’ll learn some new habits, like using version control and reviewing changes. Most infrastructure engineers pick it up quickly, especially when working alongside someone experienced on their own systems.
Can we automate infrastructure provisioning for existing environments?
Yes. You can automate infrastructure provisioning for existing resources by bringing them under code management, usually starting with the most important or most frequently changed. Nothing has to be torn down and rebuilt to begin.
Does this work on-premises as well as in the cloud?
It can. Many tools support on-premises platforms as well as cloud. The review looks at where automation would help most across your whole estate, and which tools suit each part of it.
How do we stop people making changes by hand?
Limit console access for production, route changes through code reviews and use tools that detect drift. Over time, the code becomes the only way changes happen. Emergency fixes made by hand are written back into the code afterwards.
