Business Development Associate — Growth & Alliances, Signisys
Drive the pipeline that funds everything else at Signisys. You’ll hunt new accounts, build out OEM and partner relationships across our AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, and cybersecurity ecosystem, and turn early conversations into qualified opportunities the senior team can close. If you like the chase and want a front-row seat to how deals actually get built, this is the seat for it.
About the Role
- You’re the person turning a cold list, an inbound lead, or an OEM referral into a real conversation with a real budget behind it.
- Your week splits between outbound prospecting, partner/OEM coordination, and pipeline hygiene — with the occasional client call you help run yourself.
- No two weeks look the same. One week it’s a partner enablement session with an OEM’s channel team; the next, a cold outreach sprint into a new vertical or a proposal deadline.
- You’ll work closely with the leadership team on account strategy, and as you build a track record, start owning full deal cycles yourself.
- This is a growth-track role. Strong performers move into a closing BD or Account Manager seat within 12–18 months.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and qualify new accounts — outbound outreach, inbound follow-up, and referrals from our OEM partner network (AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, and cybersecurity vendors).
- Build and work OEM/partner relationships. Coordinate with partner channel managers on co-sell motions, deal registration, and lead sharing.
- Own the top of the funnel. Keep the CRM current — every lead staged, every next step logged, nothing going stale.
- Research target accounts before outreach so the first conversation is informed, not generic.
- Draft outreach sequences, proposals, and follow-ups that a senior BD or the founder would send under their own name.
- Support deal cycles — join discovery calls, help prep pitch materials, chase down the information a prospect needs to move forward.
- Track and report pipeline metrics — conversion rates, source performance, time-to-qualify — so the team knows what’s working.
- Represent Signisys at partner events, webinars, and vendor enablement sessions when needed.
What You Bring
Must-Haves
- 1–3 years in business development, sales, or a client-facing role — B2B or IT services background preferred.
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting — cold email, LinkedIn outreach, calls — and not precious about rejection.
- Sharp written communication. Your outreach reads like a person wrote it, not a template.
- Organized by default — you don’t lose track of a lead or let a follow-up slip.
- Curious enough to learn the basics of cloud and cybersecurity offerings well enough to speak to them credibly.
- Comfortable with CRM tools and keeping data clean without being told twice.
Nice-to-Haves
- Prior experience with OEM or channel partner programs (AWS Partner Network, Microsoft Partner Center, or similar).
- Exposure to the IT services or systems integrator space.
- Familiarity with a CRM platform (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) beyond basic data entry.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field — helpful, not required.
Why Join Us
What you’ll get
- Direct exposure to how deals get built end-to-end, not just the top-of-funnel slice.
- A real path to a closing BD or Account Manager role, with earning upside tied to pipeline you help build.
- Cash, performance incentives, and a learning budget you’ll actually use.
- Small team. Low politics. Your wins are visible from week one.
What to expect
- Outbound-heavy weeks — volume and consistency matter as much as any single pitch.
- Deadline pressure around quarter-end pushes and partner program deadlines.
- Coordination across multiple OEM relationships at once, each with its own process.
- Occasional travel for partner events or key client meetings.
Growth & Career Path

- Months 12–18: Move into a closing BD or Account Manager role, or specialize into OEM/alliance management.
Location & Working Style
Based out of Signisys’s primary office, in person by default with room for focused work-from-home days.
